DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT

 DEVELOPMENT of the project

So these were or are my primary sketches hand sketches which i created without using any software and that was my main idea because i did not want to rely completely on software. I had never used any software’s before this project in my life so i slowly gradually understood and learned the software and then implied it on my drawings by adding colours to it.

This whole project has a particular theme which is boxy. All the parts of the house which is a small space has boxy structure and effect. I have tried make it flow over the whole process.

5 moments in wonderland :

This is my final piece of the project 5 moments in wonderland where i have created a very small ,simple and elegant residence space which has one bedroom, kitchen and a living area with that i have also tried to show the floor plan of the house. This is a very boxy kind of theme which i have implemented on it with learning the uses of software.

FINAL EVALUATION

                                                              Final evaluation

  • So talking about my main idea for the topic was to create a simple space with 5 different spaces like bedroom, kitchen and etc because i have always felt simplicity as wonderland for me.                          So my format for working on this topic was i first brainstormed of what all i wanted and then i started working on the primary sketches and the perspectives. I wanted my work to show my drawing skills with the usage of software at the same time so it would justify importance of this module in my course.

  • I must say that my work and blogs coming together on time was on of the best thing which came in well together. Secondly what i think went well with my work was the sketches it turned out of how i wanted and the designs were simple and sober which was the best thing to add colours onto it and also the way i added colours by using software also went in my favor as i was able to do it by myself and i am happy about it.

  • At the same time we cannot expect all the things to go as planned and proper i wish i had more of time to develop my ideas in a better and try adding 3D concept to it would have been a great thing and also one problem I personally faced was that i use my iPad and not a laptop so some of the things were difficult to access but at last i tried to manage it all and got my work together

  • Overall summarising this project and also this module , honestly it was great as i got to learn many software which i had never used before and i got to learn them all so i can further use all of that in future which would help me in my career and talking about this project it was great as for the first time I got to design a space all by myself be it was small areas but then too i got to say something as my and my ideas. And i have thoroughly enjoyed 12 weeks and have never missed a class because i did not want to miss on any new thing which was taught as all of that was so interesting learning from micheal.

MY IDEAS FOR PROJECT

Primary ideas for moments in wonderland

1.

The goal of the first ideas was to help clients express their desired atmosphere and aesthetic in a space through five distinct thematic categories. These themes would serve as starting points or frameworks for interior designers and architects to work from, ensuring a more tailored and intuitive design process. Since mood boards are becoming an essential tool in interior design, this project would build upon that idea by offering a structured yet flexible way to explore and develop design ideas. So it would have been 5 types of themes which a person would like to enhance in a particular space.

2.

Secondly i wanted to create a open stadium where people can sit and enjoy even privately if they want by creating different cabinets of glass doors and make dividers between them and would show all the 5 different possibilities and sides/angles of that particular stadium and give some technology based touch with putting seats in different ways

3.

On of the other ideas was to connect my thinking of wonderland and create a single house with 5 different corners of the house in which i can sketch the places and 5 of them which would have been a bedroom, a living area , a kitchen corner , a washroom and the last would be a small idea of how it would look from exterior.

NATURE IN MODERN LIFE

NATURE IN MODERN LIFE FOR ME

Nature in modern life for an interior designer can be incredibly significant. It often serves as a source of inspiration for design choices, materials, and colour palettes. Incorporating natural elements into interior spaces can create a calming and harmonious environment. This can include using sustainable materials, maximising natural light, and bringing in greenery through plants. Additionally, understanding the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces can enhance the overall aesthetic and functionality of a design.

One of the most significant trends is bio-phillic design, which seeks to reconnect people with nature. This approach goes beyond simply adding plants to a space; it involves creating an environment that mimics the natural world. For example, using organic shapes, natural materials, and textures can evoke the feeling of being outdoors. Designers can incorporate elements like stone walls, wooden beams, and water features to enhance this connection. The goal is to create spaces that promote well-being and reduce stress, making them more enjoyable for occupants.

Natural light is another critical aspect of modern design. Large windows, skylights, and open layouts can flood interiors with sunlight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This not only improves the aesthetic quality of a space but also has psychological benefits. Studies have shown that natural light can boost mood, increase productivity, and improve overall health. Also Indoor plants have become a staple in modern interiors, serving both aesthetic and health purposes. They improve air quality, add a pop of colour, and create a sense of vitality in a space.

Finally, designing outdoor spaces that flow seamlessly from indoors is essential. This can be achieved through the use of sliding glass doors, outdoor seating areas, or gardens that extend living spaces. By creating these transitions, you encourage a lifestyle that embraces both indoor comfort and outdoor enjoyment, allowing clients to fully appreciate the beauty of nature.

In conclusion, integrating nature into modern interior design not only enhances the visual appeal of spaces but also promotes well-being and sustainability. By embracing bio-philic design, maximising natural light, using sustainable materials, selecting nature-inspired colours, incorporating plants, and creating harmonious indoor-outdoor connections, you can create interiors that resonate with the beauty of the natural world.
